I came up with a pretty cool idea of using some old 90s/early 2000s chat applications just for shits and giggles, and i want you to try it out.
Step one: Creating an account
Yeah yeah, I know, you dont want to make a stupid account. Well too bad, just make one, it honestly takes less that 5 minutes. We'll be using AOL for a nostalogic feel. Sign up for an account at https://i.aol.com/reg/signup
Step two: Downloading the applications.
Going for a early 2000s vibe, we will be using America Online 6.0, which was originally released in fall of 2002, and surprisingly still functions as of today (Feburary 28, 2016) Download this here, and yes its safe http://www.oldversion.com/windows/america-online-6-0
Step three: Setup and finalization
The download you will get contains three applications. Launch the program titled SETUP32 and follow through its instructions. If the installer says there are no available connections, choose Custom and then LAN. Sign in with the account credentials you made earlier. And most of all, HAVE FUN ;)
